Man who ran cannabis operation from mum's house avoids jail after being taken to court again

A convicted drug dealer has avoided jail again after breaching his suspended sentence. Luke Prosser from Barry was spared prison last May after running a cannabis operation from his mum's house and keeping stolen motorbikes in his self-storage. At the time a Cardiff Crown Court judge told him he was getting "one more chance".

The judge, Recorder Christopher Felstead, handed Prosser a 12-month jail term suspended for two years as well as 150 hours of unpaid work and 15 days of rehabilitation activity. But the 23-year-old has been back in court after failing to comply with the supervision requirements of his suspended sentence, missing three appointments across December and January. Prosser, of Clos Tyniad Glo, was fined £350 for the breach and ordered to pay £150 in prosecution costs.

At a previous hearing to decide what would happen to the £11,277.73 he made from dealing cannabis and handling stolen goods, the court heard Prosser only had £5,475 left. He was ordered to pay this amount to the court and police were allowed to auction one of the stolen motorbikes he had hoarded.
