A man has been handed a 48-week ban by the GAA for racially abusing Wexford hurler Lee Chin.
The incident occurred earlier this month during a charity challenge game between Wexford and Tipperary in Carrick-on-Suir at the beginning of April.
The incident occurred towards the end of the game when players from both teams were involved in a scuffle near the sideline. During the scuffle, a man made racist comments towards former All-Star hurler Chin enraging his Wexford teammates.

The game was subsequently abandoned by referee John Keenan.
It is understood that the 48-week ban was issued by the Central Competitions Control Committee earlier this week.
Video evidence and the referee's report formed the basis for this verdict.
It is also understood that the 48-week ban can be reduced to 24 weeks should the man in question complete suitable training or education.
