Man who led police on ACT car chase just days after being released from jail faces litany of charges

A man released from custody on Tuesday has been charged with 32 offences after leading police on a chase through Tuggeranong streets, homes and backyards on Friday, during which he allegedly stole a car and entered a stranger's home to steal a knife.

Police received reports of a family violence incident in which the man was accused of assaulting his partner and damaging her property.
