Man who got Phillip Schofield's face tattooed on backside has 'no regrets'

A man who got Holly and Phil tattooed on his backside has said he has ‘no regrets’ after the controversy which enveloped This Morning. Matty O’Hagan, got Phillip Schofield’s image on his bum in a bid to outdo his flatmate Lee in 2017.

But more recently Phil has quit the ITV show after 20 years after he admitted he’d lied about having an affair with a young colleague on the ITV breakfast show behind his wife’s back. Matty said that while his friends had poked fun at him over his tattoo, he was still happy to have got it, BirminghamLive reports.

Matty, who has Holly Willoughby’s face tattooed on his other cheek, said his friends have been cracking jokes “since day one”. He said: “I don’t have any regrets about getting the [Schofield] tattoo.

“It has all been a madness to be honest. Phill and his colleague were both adults, so in that sense, it was up to them. I don’t agree with the age gap but that’s just my opinion.”

Matty appeared on Celebrity Juice in 2017, revealing his Holly and Phil tatts, and said he would not be getting them changed or covered up in any way. Matty told The Sun in 2017 that he got the tatts to outdo his flatmate, Lee, who had Ant and Dec inked on his rear. To get one over his flatmate, Matty spent three hours in tattooist Steve Bell’s chair getting Schofield and Willoughby’s profiles inked on him.

He said: “Lee came home and told me he’d had Ant and Dec tattooed onto his a*** and I just wanted one over on him. We’re both always full of banter and I just couldn’t resist.”

At the time, Bell said it was “by far the strangest request” he’d ever had. Schofield, 61, resigned from ITV last month and was dropped by his talent agency YMU after admitting to an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a younger male colleague.

The broadcaster have now instructed a barrister to carry out an external investigation to “establish the facts” surrounding the relationship.
