Man was jumping around 'as if he was shadow boxing' before street fight outside Newark bar

A fight outside a Nottinghamshire bar involved one man jumping around "as if he was shadow boxing", a court heard. Things got out of hand outside Madison bar, in Castle Gate in Newark, on August 1, 2020, at 1.40am.

The man, said to be "shadow boxing", lashed out at a woman and was scuffling with other men, Nottingham Crown Court heard on Friday, April 22. That suspect "remains outstanding", but two other men were caught and sentenced for their involvement.

Harrison Price, 22, of Mill Green, Newark, pleaded guilty to assaulting an emergency worker, and David Cooper, 21, of Main Street, Balderton, pleaded guilty to affray. Price was involved in an altercation, as it was described in court, before he spat at a special constable.
