A man who claims he was warned by police that he risked being arrested if he wrote “not my King” on a placard now feels “more inclined to go out there and to protest to uphold our rights”.
Paul Powlesland, 36, a barrister and nature rights activist from Barking, east London, travelled into the centre of the capital on Monday afternoon with “a blank piece of paper”.
Mr Powlesland recorded himself while speaking with police officers, and tried to establish whether he would be arrested if he "exercised his freedom of speech".
