A desperate search has been launched to find a man who vanished from a Scots nightclub at the weekend.
Rodrigo Falcon hasn't been seen since around 2am on Sunday December 11, when he was at the Vault nightclub in Aviemore. Police issued an appeal early on Monday asking for help to trace the 33-year-old, renewing it just hours later amid "growing concerns" for his welfare.
Rodrigo is described as being 5ft 6ins tall, of slim build and with a tanned complexion, with dark hair cut in a mullet style with a moustache and beard. When last seen he was wearing a brown woollen fox-style coat, a red jumper and baggy jeans.
Investigators are particularly keen to trace him amid plummeting temperatures, especially in northern Scotland. Some areas of the north and north-east recorded lows of -15C overnight into Monday.
Chief Inspector Stuart Clemenson, area commander for Shetland, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and I would urge anyone who believes they may have seen Rodrigo at any time since the early hours of Sunday to get in touch as a matter of urgency.
"Given the current cold weather I would ask anyone with a shed or outbuilding where someone may seek shelter to check this and report anything which may be notable to us.
“I would also urge anyone who may have been driving in the Aviemore area or on the A9 around 3am on Sunday to check any dashcam footage you may have. Anyone with information can call 101, quoting reference 2387 of 11 December.”
