Marcus Rashford is trying to do too much for Manchester United at the moment as he attempts to overcome his dip in form, claims Paul Scholes.
The Red Devils forward is enduring a difficult period having been out injured at the start of the campaign.
Rashford is struggling for goals whilst his all round play is not up to his usual standards.
The 24-year-old produced a below par display in United's draw with Atletico Madrid in midweek.
Scholes has recalled his own struggles during his time at Old Trafford and referenced the advice Sir Alex Ferguson used to offer.
The Scot would tell the midfielder to "keep it simple", but Scholes doesn't think Rashford is currently capable of going back to basics.

"He looks too anxious for me, he looks like he is trying almost too hard," he said on BT Sport.
"Every time the ball comes to him he feels like he’s got to produce something magical. That’s probably the worst thing you can do.
"I always remember when going through a tough time the manager [Sir Alex Ferguson] always said keep it simple. Just work your way back into the game. He doesn’t seem to be able to do that. He is always thinking he has got to produce something."
Rashford was eventually hooked with 15 minutes remaining and it was his replacement, Anthony Elanga, who would score the crucial equaliser.
So far this season the Englishman has scored five times in 22 outings.
In each of his last two campaigns Rashford has broken the 20 goal barrier, but on current form appears unlikely to match that feat.
Jamie Carragher believes the United star is not deserving of a start based on current performances with Ralf Rangnick not short of alternative options.
He told CBS : "Marcus Rashford has been in this team since he was a kid. He burst onto the scene and he’s always threatened to go to that next level, when the top players get to, and he’s not there yet.
"We’ve got to the stage now where I don’t think he should be in Manchester United ’s XI. His performances this season don’t warrant being in the team."
He then added: "We’re still waiting for Rashford to make that jump to become a United great or a player who can take them to big trophies, and he’s not there yet.
"At the age he’s at, United need something better than Marcus Rashford right now."
