It's already July and Manchester United need to kick into gear when it comes to their summer transfer window business.
Erik ten Hag may be operating on limited funds due to the Red Devils' new-found struggles with Financial Fair Play, but United have identified a range of affordable targets. Mason Mount is chief among them, with the Chelsea midfielder on course to move to Old Trafford after a £55million transfer agreement was reached late last week.
But who else could follow Mount through the door? Ten Hag certainly wants a striker - despite giving up on signing Harry Kane from Tottenham - and potentially a new first-choice goalkeeper because of David de Gea's uncertain and hotly-debated contract situation which has left the long-serving Spaniard as a free agent following the expiry of his £375,000-a-week deal on Saturday.
Here's a round-up of the latest transfer news from Old Trafford.
Ten Hag 'pushing for' Arsenal hijack
Manchester United are reportedly interested in hijacking Arsenal's move for Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni. As reported by to Spanish publication Nacional, Erik ten Hag is pushing to sign the 23-year-old France international, who joined Real from Monaco in an £85million deal last summer after choosing to reject Liverpool.
Arsenal have already been tipped to sign Tchouameni, who's facing increased competition at the Bernabeu next season following the arrival of Jude Bellingham. It's even been claimed that United have held talks with Madrid chiefs over a move for the former Monaco prospect.

De Gea offered Al-Nassr move
David de Gea could soon be back playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo. According to the Sun, Ronaldo's current club in Saudi Arabia, Al-Nassr, are interested in signing the Spanish goalkeeper after he became a free agent last Saturday.
It's understood that De Gea would prefer to sign a new contract with United, with face-to-face talks set to take place next week following his wedding. The Red Devils are demanding that the 32-year-old take a drastic pay cut, whereas Saudi chiefs undoubtedly would be able to offer him a lucrative salary not unlike his current £375,000-a-week wages.
Benfica wonderkid eyed
United are among a host of elite European clubs who are interested in signing Benfica's teenage sensation, Joao Neves, this summer. The defensive-minded midfielder helped his club win the league title last season in a breakout campaign for him individually.
Sky Italia report that Neves, 18, is set to be the subject of a major transfer battle, with top sides like the Red Devils all jockeying for his signature. The Portugal youth international has starred for his nation during the ongoing under-21 European Championships.
