Man Utd target Randal Kolo Muani shares transfer stance as he dismisses "perfect club"

Manchester United target Randal Kolo Muani won't be searching for the "perfect club" as he prepares to leave Eintracht Frankfurt this summer.

The French international forward caught the attention of top clubs during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, although missed a chance in the last minute of extra time in the final before Argentina prevailed on penalties. And he has also impressed domestically, scoring 15 times in 32 appearances for his club in the Bundesliga this season.

PSG are also reportedly pursuing the 24-year-old, who arrived in Germany last year after three years at Nantes. But he's now spoken out on speculation, and has hinted he'd favour a move to Old Trafford over a return to his homeland.

"It’s flattering that PSG are interested in you, like all the other big clubs," he told Canal Football Club. "It’s not just because you come from the Parisian region and grow up there that you should automatically play for PSG.

"Honestly, who doesn’t dream of playing in the Premier League? It’s one of the best leagues that exists. You dream about it. These are childhood dreams. But I’m not searching for the perfect club or the best club in the world. I’m really looking for the club that will give me the chance to be able to express myself, to earn game time and most importantly allow me to grow."

United boss Erik ten Hag has made no secret of his desire to sign a striker this summer, having identified Tottenham's Harry Kane as his top target. The Red Devils have also been linked with Atalanta forward Rasmus Hojlund and Napoli's Victor Osimhen.

Any move for Kolo Muani won't come cheap for Ten Hag though, with Frankfurt rating the star at more than £75 million. Despite the boost of qualifying for the Champions League, the Dutch boss is still in the dark over the funds available to him this summer as the takeover saga at Old Trafford continues to rumble on.

But with only Marcus Rashford managing double figures for his side in the 2022/23 campaign, and Anthony Martial seemingly heading out the door amid his latest injury woe, forward reinforcements are imperative. And weekend developments in their battle to sign Kane could now see them up their interest in Kolo Muani.

The England captain is being pursued by Real Madrid after it was confirmed Karim Benzema was leaving for the Saudi Pro League. Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly preparing an £100 million bid for Kane, who sits as the Premier League's second top scorer in history behind Alan Shearer.
