Cristiano Ronaldo and his Manchester United teammates have returned to training after jetting off during the international break.
The Red Devils haven't played since their Champions League defeat to Atletico Madrid at Old Trafford ended any hopes they had of claiming silverware this term. Their sole focus will now be on ensuring they are in next season's competition with Ralf Rangnick's men facing an uphill task to overhaul Arsenal, who currently occupy fourth spot.
United's last Premier League outing saw Ronaldo star as he bagged a hat-trick in a 3-2 win over Tottenham. The 37-year-old rolled into training in a Bentley worth £164,000. He and his teammates will be hoping to continue that momentum when they host Leicester City on Saturday.
Ronaldo will return buoyed by his international exploits as he and compatriot Bruno Fernandes helped Portugal qualify for the World Cup. They beat North Macedonia 2-0 with Fernandes grabbing a brace in Porto. Ronaldo said on social media after the success: "Goal achieved, we're at the Qatar World Cup, we're in our rightful place! Thank you to all the Portuguese for the tireless support! Power Portugal!"
The likes of Jesse Lingard and Harry Maguire were both snapped returning to Carrington ahead of the Saturday evening kick-off. Edinson Cavani picked up an injury whilst away with Uruguay and is a doubt ahead of another fitness test before the weekend. Lingard and Jadon Sancho both trained on Wednesday having not been selected for international duty.
One man who put himself in the spotlight was Luke Shaw, who has not featured since the draw with Watford in February. He made comments whilst away with England that threw him into the spotlight. The left-back has not enjoyed his greatest season, seeing his level dip since the Euros.

Alex Telles has been handed opportunities by Rangnick and Shaw seemed to suggest the results and the environment in Manchester had made the campaign difficult. He said: "It's always important to feel like you're wanted and especially here I always feel that. I'm not saying I don't at United, but especially here, the way things are, I feel wanted and I enjoy my football.
"This season hasn't been good enough at all and it's hard to enjoy. We've got a lot to improve but right now we're here at England. My focus is on that." After their clash with Leicester United will take on Everton and Norwich City in successive weekends.
United have only won three of their last seven in the Premier League as they battle the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham. Rangnick has seen his side drop points against the likes of Watford, Southampton and Burnley.
