Manchester United have reached an agreement with Sevilla over the loan of Anthony Martial, according to reports.
Martial had made it clear both in public and behind the scenes that he wanted to leave Old Trafford this month, either temporarily or permanently.
Sevilla have long been interested in the Frenchman, but had found wages a major stumbling block.
United boss Ralf Rangnick was adamant that the 26-year-old, whose contract runs until the summer of 2024, would only be allowed to leave if the club’s demands were met.
That included the Spanish side agreeing to pay 100 per cent of his salary, something which the two teams have now reportedly agreed upon.

“We spoke at length,” said Rangnick earlier this month. “He explained to me he’s been at Manchester United now for the last seven years and he feels it’s the right time for a change, to go somewhere else.
“I think in a way this is understandable, I could follow his thoughts, but on the other hand, it’s also important to see the situation of the club.
“We have Covid times, we have three competitions in which we still have high ambitions and we want to be as successful as we can be.
"I told him listen, as long as there is no club showing interest in him -- and it should not only be in the interest of the player it should also be in the interest of the club -- so far, as far as I know, there has been no offer from any other club and as long as this is the case he will stay."
Martial’s stay in Manchester, which began in 2015, threatened to end on a very sour note amid suggestions he refused to play in the 2-2 draw with Aston Villa.
He strongly denied those assertions stating he would ‘never disrespect the club and the fans’.
The wantaway striker returned to the Man United squad for the win over Brentford, where he was an unused sub, before coming off the bench in the win over West Ham.
Martial actually played a key part in Marcus Rashford’s dramatic winner, laying the ball through for Edinson Cavani, who in turn found the England international.
But that now looks set to be his final involvement of the season, with Martial set to fly out to Spain to complete the formalities over the move.
His departure could be the first of several in the final days of the window after Rangnick admitted several players were looking to complete exits.
Jesse Lingard looks the most likely to be on the move before next Monday amid reports that Newcastle United are willing to pay a massive loan fee to acquire his services.
