Man Utd predicted line-up vs Sevilla as Erik ten Hag makes big injury decision

Manchester United make the trip to Sevilla on Thursday night in a far less comfortable position than Erik ten Hag would have hoped for 25 minutes into the first leg.

The Red Devils welcomed the LaLiga outfit to Old Trafford last week and flew out of the traps. Jadon Sancho actually had the ball in the back of the net inside the opening 40 seconds but was deemed offside in the process.

United's home faithful soon forgot all about that when Bayern Munich loanee Marcel Sabitzer netted a 21-minute brace to give Ten Hag's troops a two-nil lead. Despite plenty of promising attacks, the hosts failed to add to their advantage and it cost them dearly.

Late own goals from Tyrell Malacia and Harry Maguire mean the game ended 2-2 and Sevilla will harbour plenty of hope they can dump United out of a competition the Spaniards have had such joy in down the years.

It will be a different-looking United line-up from the one that started at Old Trafford. With that in mind, David de Gea is almost certain to keep his place between the sticks at a ground he has already visited as both an Atletico Madrid and United player.

Of the back four, it is expected that only right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka keeps his place from the defensive line that started the first leg.

Club captain Harry Maguire should partner Victor Lindelof in the heart of the Red Devils backline given the respective injuries to Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez, while Luke Shaw will replace Malacia.

Though Casemiro is likely to keep his place in the middle of the park, the Brazil international can expect a change of partner as a result of Bruno Fernandes ' suspension. The former Sporting star picked up a yellow card in the first leg and is ruled out of this clash.

In his place, Christian Eriksen is probably going to be the man Ten Hag entrusts given the Dane's attacking output and keen eye for a pass.

Antony scored his first Premier League goal since mid-October on Sunday and in turn, is surely going to keep his place and be handed the chance to build some momentum before the season's final furlong.

Sabitzer's two goals in the first leg means he is also almost a guarantee to take up the centre-attacking midfield role, flanked by Antony on the right and Marcus Rashford on the left.

The England ace was an injury doubt but has travelled and is likely to feature.

Anthony Martial is also fit and ready to fire, Wout Weghorst's particularly wasteful display in the first leg after being introduced off the bench means the Frenchman is a sure thing when it comes to keeping his place leading the line.

Man Utd predicted XI vs Sevilla(4-2-3-1): De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Lindelof, Shaw; Casemiro, Eriksen; Antony, Sabitzer, Rashford; Martial
