Man Utd predicted line-up for West Ham meeting as Erik ten Hag rings the changes

Manchester United stretched their unbeaten run to seven matches in all competitions after comprehensively dispatching Sheriff Tiraspol in the Europa League in midweek.

Erik ten Hag picked a strong team in a bid to down the Moldovan champions; including Cristiano Ronaldo, who was welcomed back into the fold after sitting out the previous match with Chelsea as punishment for storming off during the win over Tottenham last week.

The Portuguese veteran made a goalscoring return against Sheriff, with Diogo Dalot and Marcus Rashford also on target in the 3-0 win. However, it remains to be seen whether or not Ronaldo's third goal off the season will be enough to help him retain his place in the team for Sunday's showdown with West Ham at Old Trafford.

Here, Mirror Football runs the rule over how Manchester United could shape up against the Hammers and ex-boss David Moyes...

While there may be uncertainty over whether or not David de Gea will land a new long-term contract at the club, it is almost certain that he will once again start between the sticks for United.

Ahead of him, Dalot will be buoyed by his goal against Sheriff and will look to continue his recent run of impressive performances at right-back while Luke Shaw will come back in for Tyrell Malacia on the opposite flank after impressing as a second-half substitute on Thursday night.

At the heart of Manchester United's defence, Harry Maguire is back in contention after recovering from injury, but it's likely that Victor Lindelof will continue alongside Lisandro Martinez for now.

United's current unbeaten run has coincided with Casemiro's integration into the team, so starting the Brazilian enforcer for a second match in four days is a no-brainer for Ten Hag.

After impressing alongside him in recent games, Fred should replace Christian Eriksen who started alongside Casemiro in a deeper role in midweek. Bruno Fernandes is likely to retain his spot ahead of them.

Donny van de Beek returned from injury in the game against Sheriff and was lauded by Ten Hag after the match, so it's likely the Dutchman will step up his first-team return with more minutes in the second-half of the clash with the Hammers.

In attack, Antony was heavily scrutinised for some "ridiculous" showboating in midweek, but he is likely to retain his place in the team after bagging three goals in six Premier League appearances.

Jadon Sancho has struggled for form in recent weeks, but he may be given another chance to arrest his recent slump ahead of Alejandro Garnacho, who impressed on his first start for the club against Sheriff.

Rashford and Ronaldo were both on target in midweek, but the latter is likely to drop back to the bench with Rashford now firmly established as United's main man up front.
