Manchester United lifted their first trophy in six years last Sunday evening by beating Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley.
With that honour in the bag, United boss Erik ten Hag has turned his attention to the next competition. "You have to win the first one," the Dutchman told reporters at full-time. "We will get a lot of inspiration from this, but also, more confidence that we can do it."
The ultimate aim for Ten Hag is to turn his team into Champions League candidates, which means the upcoming summer transfer window will be vital. Here are the latest headlines from Old Trafford - including an update on the proposed sale of the club.
Ten Hag's Weghorst call
Ten Hag has refused to say whether United will complete a permanent deal for Wout Weghorst in the summer.
The Netherlands international, 30, has scored just one goal in 12 appearances for the Red Devils since he arrived on loan from Burnley in January. Yet Weghorst started all 12 of those games, which suggests Ten Hag is happy with his temporary signing.
The United boss was asked about the futures of Weghorst and Marcel Sabitzer, who also joined the club on loan in January, ahead of their FA Cup tie against West Ham on Wednesday. He replied, "I think it’s much too quick, much too soon to talk about that.
Who do you think Manchester United should sign in the summer? Let us know in the comments below!
"First, we are in this season. That is where the only focus has to be. No distractions for what is coming next season. No, we are in this season and we are in the right position in this moment. This is the position we want to be because we are competing in three competitions."

'Next Luis Suarez' targeted
If United do not sign Weghorst in the summer, they might swoop for Vitor Roque.
The 18-year-old Brazilian has been dubbed the 'next Luis Suarez' after being named in the 2022 Copa Libertadores Team of the Tournament. The prolific forward recently scored six goals to fire Brazil to victory in the 2023 South American U20 Championship.
Roque still has four-and-a-half years left on his existing deal at Athletico Paranaense, with the likes of United, Chelsea and Arsenal chasing his signature. Yet the player has admitted his preference is to join Barcelona in an interview with Spanish outlet SPORT.
"Yes of course. I work for this [to play in Europe]," said Roque. "The competitions I played last year, the Libertadores and the Brasileirao, will help me to be well prepared when I go to Europe. I am very happy to be 18 years old, which now allows me to play abroad.
"My goal is to continue working with humility, because with faith in God everything will turn out well. I try to stay focused on day to day and give my best at Athletico. I am sure that, doing well here, going to Europe will be a consequence.
"It is not only a dream of mine but also of any player. If I end up going to Barca, it will be a great joy for my family and for me. For this reason, I have to continue working hard and hope that everything will come to fruition over time."

Takeover latest
Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani still wants to complete a takeover of United - despite the Glazers' humongous asking price.
The Qatari banker and INEOS founder Sir Jim Ratcliffe have both submitted bids to buy United, but those offers are thought to be between £4bn and £4.5bn. The Glazers, who are not under pressure to sell the club, are holding out for around £6bn.
It is believed the Glazers, who have been in control of United since 2005, are divided on the sale. Most of the family are happy to say goodbye to United, but Joel and Avram Glazer - who attended the Carabao Cup final - want to remain involved in the club.
Sheikh Jassim, however, is determined to complete a 100 per cent takeover of United.
