There's no doubting Manchester United have improved under Erik ten Hag this season... but they've still got a long way to go.
United struggled last term as they finished sixth in the Premier League and failed to win a trophy for the fifth consecutive campaign. They ended their trophy drought by winning the Carabao Cup in February and are on course for a top-four league finish this season.
Yet Ten Hag's side keep dropping points. They surrendered a two-goal lead in their 2-2 draw against Tottenham on Thursday and can't afford to lose at home to Aston Villa on Sunday, with Unai Emery's impressive side sitting just six points behind them.
Here are the latest headlines from Old Trafford ahead of that big game...
Ten Hag under fire
Ten Hag has faced criticism for his substitutions during the draw against Tottenham. Anthony Martial, Fred, Tyrell Malacia and Wout Weghorst were all introduced during the second half, but none of them made a telling impact on the match.
"United will be disappointed, they will all be trudging into that changing room thinking how did we let that slip," United legend Rio Ferdinand told BT Sport at full-time. "The first half they totally dominated this Spurs team, a team struggling for confidence and you’ve allowed them back in the game.

"They will be hugely disappointed. I think the substitutions from United saw them relinquish control of the game with the personnel that came on."
Fellow United icon Peter Schmeichel added: "I’m not sure why he [Ten Hag] took [Aaron] Wan-Bissaka off because he was really good today. We’re 2-1 up, you don’t change it, it is not that bad where you take your best defender off."

Players set for pay rises
Several players will receive pay rises if United qualify for the Champions League, with some gaining a 20 per cent increase. It's believed a number of stars saw a reduction in their pay packets after failing to qualify for UEFA's premier club competition a year ago.
There's still a while to go before United are guaranteed of their Champions League spot. They are two points behind Newcastle in third with a game in hand, and they are six points ahead of Tottenham in fifth and Villa in sixth with two games in hand.

Redknapp drops Kane hint
Harry Redknapp believes Harry Kane could choose a move to Chelsea over United, despite Tottenham's rivalry with the Blues. The England captain is being tipped to leave Spurs this summer, with just 14 months remaining on his existing deal.
"It will be interesting if Pochettino goes to Chelsea," Redknapp told the Beyond The Pitch podcast. "That wouldn’t go down well with the Tottenham fans at all that's for sure. It's a great move for him and I think he's [Kane] building a house in that area.
"He's a family man and he'd be happier not moving to the north of England or wherever he'd have to go... I've personally got a feeling he'll stay and sign a new contract. I may be wrong but I think he could stay at Tottenham."
