Incoming Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has reportedly chosen the man he wants to become a leader within the Old Trafford dressing room.
The Red Devils announced last week that Ajax boss Ten Hag will take the reins at the club in the summer, when he is expected to overhaul the playing squad at Old Trafford. And the Dutchman has identified Barcelona's Frenkie De Jong as a transfer target as he looks to add leadership to United's midfield.
It comes as interim manager Ralf Rangnick has responded to Jesse Lingard's claim that the United dressing room is a "disaster". And Paul Pogba has hit back at Rangnick's claims that his Manchester United career could be over.

Pogba hits back at Rangnick
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has hit back at interim manager Ralf Rangnick's claims that his career at Old Trafford may be over.
The Frenchman's contract at the club expires this summer and he looks set to leave Old Trafford on a free for the second time, having joined Juventus for nothing in 2012. And after Pogba picked up an injury during a nine-minute cameo in the 4-0 thrashing against Liverpool, Rangnick had suggested the Frenchman had played his last game for United.
But Pogba has taken to social media to claim there is still a chance he will play again this season, as he declared "it’s not over".
Rangnick responds to dressing room claims
Ralf Rangnick has responded to claims that Jesse Lingard called the Manchester United dressing room "a disaster".
United legend Paul Scholes revealed details of a conversation he had with Lingard ahead of United's 3-1 loss to Arsenal on Saturday, where he claims to have been told by the midfielder that the club's dressing room is "just a disaster". Rangnick was asked about the comments following the game – and admitted it has been difficult to "keep up the energy" behind the scenes at Old Trafford.
Ten Hag identifies new leader
Erik ten Hag has reportedly made Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong a priority signing this summer as he plans his Old Trafford revolution.
United are set for a massive squad overhaul this summer to address the club's troubles on the pitch this season. The midfielder has been a problem area for the side and recent reports have suggested at least two new centre-midfielders could join the club at the end of the season.
And a reunion with former Ajax ace De Jong could be on the cards for Ten Hag as he sets about bringing leadership qualities to his side.
