Manchester United's dreadful defeat at Aston Villa has dealt another blow to their hopes of finishing in the top four.
The result leaves them three points adrift of Tottenham, who occupy the final Champions League qualification place. It was a performance that left United boss Erik ten Hag livid as he slammed his side for their awful display.
Ten Hag's furious reaction came as Fred lifted the lid on a conversation he had with Casemiro before his arrival from Real Madrid and it was revealed that Alejandro Garnacho was punished for attitude problems during pre-season. Here, Mirror Football rounds up the latest United news.
Ten Hag slams United
Erik ten Hag launched a furious rebuke of his Manchester United side following their dreadful defeat to Aston Villa. The Red Devils found themselves two goals behind inside the first 12 minutes as they were torn apart at Villa Park.
Though they pulled a goal back through Luke Shaw's deflected effort, the visitors were unable to equalise before Jacob Ramsey scored the hosts' third. United's dire display left boss Ten Hag fuming at his side, as he saw their nine-game unbeaten run come to an end.
"We lose the game at the start of the first half and second half, that is unacceptable. They looked more fresh, more ready. The result is clear, it never lies. In football you always get your own earnings. Today we were not good enough," he told BBC Sport.

Fred's chat with Casemiro
United midfielder Fred has revealed that he held talks with Casemiro before the Brazilian joined the Red Devils. Casemiro was one of United's star signings of the summer as he made the switch from Real Madrid.
But well before his move late in the summer transfer window, Fred discussed life in the Premier League with his international team-mate. And the Red Devils star has lifted the lid on those talks.
"He liked the project, thought it would be a cool project and decided to join us. And as I said, we are on a good path, we are winning some games, we have already beaten some of the big six clubs as well," he told TNT Sports Brasil.
Garnacho punished by Ten Hag
It has been reported that United youngster Alejandro Garnacho was punished by Erik ten Hag during the club's pre-season tour. Garnacho scored the Red Devils' winning goal against Real Sociedad on Thursday.
But he came under fire from captain Bruno Fernandes for his attitude earlier in the campaign. Fernandes' criticism has been backed up after it was claimed that Ten Hag did in fact take action against the winger.
"On the tour he didn't have the best attitude that he should have had, and that's why he didn't get his chances until now. He's getting his chances because he's training better, having a different attitude and deserving his chances," Fernandes said.
