Cristiano Ronaldo netted on his return to Manchester United’s starting line-up as his side eased to a three-goal victory over FC Sheriff Tiraspol on Thursday evening.
Diogo Dalot, Marcus Rashford and Cristiano Ronaldo were all on target as United sealed a comfortable victory at home to the Moldovan champions in Thursday night's Europa League action at Old Trafford – as they sealed their place in the knockout stages. They now must win by two goals at Real Sociedad next week to ensure they win the group and avoid a Round of 32 playoff game.
Mirror Football takes a look at all the latest stories coming out of Old Trafford.
Dalot gives transfer approval
Diogo Dalot has hailed the "unreal" performance of Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa in the Champions League this season as Manchester United plot a move for the Portuguese.
The 23-year-old has been in sensational form for the Dragoes this season and continued his stunning displays on Wednesday evening as his side booked their place in the last 16 of the competition.
He was on hand to deny Noa Lang from the spot in the second half of Porto's 4-0 cruise against Belgian giants Club Brugge. The referee was not totally convinced that the save was legal because of infringement so ordered a retake - only for Costa to parry another effort away.

Ten Hag given double transfer boost
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has been handed a double transfer boost following this week’s Champions League results as speculation continues to grow on Cristiano Ronaldo's future.
The Portuguese star stormed down the tunnel in last week’s win over Tottenham, forcing Ten Hag to axe the forward for the trip to Chelsea last weekend. Ronaldo, 37, has been intent on departing United for the past four months and a move appears to be edging closer.
Ronaldo has been linked to Atletico Madrid in a shock swap deal which would see the Spanish side’s record signing Joao Felix move to Old Trafford. The Portuguese star – Ronaldo’s international teammate – has been frozen out of Diego Simeone’s first-team squad and is pushing for an exit.

Three stars who held Solskjaer concerns
It's been a year since Manchester United suffered a humiliating 5-0 home defeat to bitter rivals Liverpool.
A lot has changed at Old Trafford since then. United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked within a month of that loss and his successor Ralf Rangnick was replaced by Erik ten Hag in May. New players were signed in the summer and the Red Devils are starting to look like a decent team again. They're still sixth in the Premier League, mind you.
But what's happened to Donny van de Beek, Jesse Lingard and Nemanja Matic? A report suggested the dressing room were unhappy about how Solskjaer was treating the trio, as they all struggled for minutes under the Norwegian. Here, Mirror Football finds out.
