Sofyan Amrabat is one of three potential new additions for Manchester United in what could yet be a busy summer for the club.
United have already completed their first permanent deal of the summer, with Mason Mount joining from Chelsea. The England international has joined in a deal worth £55m plus a further £5m in potential add-ons, eating into the club's limited transfer budget.
Amrabat is out of contract at current club Fiorentina at the end of next season, the same situation Mount faced before making the move north. However, the Morocco star is only likely to join if Erik ten Hag's side can first address two other key areas.
Next on United's list is a new goalkeeper, following the departure of David de Gea. Andre Onana is the leading contender, with Ten Hag close to wrapping up a deal which would see him reunited with his former Ajax number one.
The priority after that is a new striker. United didn't immediately land a long-term replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, who left in November 2022, and former loanee Wout Weghorst has now returned to parent club Burnley.
With Anthony Martial struggling to stay consistently fit last term, there is a feeling a new number nine needs to be prioritised before addressing the midfield. After that, however, a move for Amrabat could be on the cards, with talkSPORT reporting that United are monitoring the star.

If the midfielder does end up at Old Trafford, it would represent another reunion for manager Ten Hag. The Dutchman was in charge at Utrecht for Amrabat's breakout 2016-17 season, when the team finished fourth in the Eredivisie.
After spells with Feyenoord and Club Brugge, Amrabat joined current club Fiorentina in 2020. The 26-year-old, whose elder brother Nordin spent time in the Premier League with Watford, played 15 times in Europe last season as the Viola reached the final of the Europa Conference League.
Amrabat also starred for Morocco at the World Cup as they eliminated Spain and Portugal en route to the semi-finals. His performances in Qatar prompted links with Liverpool, among other clubs, with reports claiming Jurgen Klopp held a secret meeting with the player's agent.
While a move for Amrabat might rely on other deals getting done, United's pursuit of Onana appears to be nearing a resolution. It comes at a key time for Ten Hag's side, who confirmed the departure of long-serving keeper De Gea after more than a decade at Old Trafford.
"I am personally grateful for the 25 clean sheets he helped provide last season and his overall contribution on the pitch during my first year at the club," Ten Hag said of the Spaniard. "All the players and staff send him our very best wishes for the next phase of his outstanding career."
