Ralf Rangnick's first and potentially only transfer window as Manchester United boss has ended with no new signings, but plenty of outgoings as the Red Devils dressing room has received a clear out.
One player who didn't leave, however, was Jesse Lingard. The creative midfielder was linked with a loan to either Newcastle or West Ham, but the club opted to keep him at Old Trafford.
United spent over £100million over the summer as Cristiano Ronaldo followed both Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane to Old Trafford, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looked to mount a title charge.
It didn't quite go to plan, and Solskjaer was sacked in November following a retched run of form, and it was assumed that Rangnick would leave be handed funds in January to make his mark.
However, that wasn't the case, and it looks as though United are holding back for when they appoint a new manager next summer.

RB Leipzig midfielder Amarou Haidara was linked with a move to Old Trafford this month shortly after Ralf Rangnick's arrival.
However, despite being expected to splash the cash, United opted against signing any new players, and will instead have to cope with the players still at their disposal.
A midfielder is likely to be on the top of United's shortlist ahead of the summer window instead, with the likes of Haidara and Declan Rice heavily linked.
For January, however, United opted to focus on shifting players out of Old Trafford rather than bringing any new faces in.

Anthony Martial was granted his January wish as he left United and joined Sevilla on loan until the end of the season.
The Frenchman asked United to leave as he was desperate for more game time, and after initially having a loan offer rejected, Sevilla got their man with no loan fee involved.
That's because the Spanish side agreed to pay the 26-year-old's wages in full, and Martial's desperation for minutes was highlighted as he wanted to join Sevilla over Juventus and Barcelona, who also expressed interest.
It remains to be seen whether United will look to sell the forward in the summer, as Martial may be given another chance depending on who they appoint as the new manager at Old Trafford.
Axel Tuanzebe became the latest Englishman to head out to Italy in search of game time, as Chris Smalling paved the way for Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori to follow the path to the Serie A.
Tuanzebe joined Napoli at the start of the window, and has already made his debut for the Italian giants after his loan move to Aston Villa was cut short.
Varane's arrival in the summer made Tuanzebe's chances of first-team football even less likely, with Harry Maguire, Eric Baily and Victor Lindelof all considered to be more senior options to the 24-year-old.
The loan cost Napoli £470,000, and they do not have an option to buy the defender at the end of the season.
After a series of potential loan moves fell through, United finally struck a deal with Scottish Champions Rangers to take their highly-rated Amad on loan until the end of the season.
United signed the star from Atalanta for £37.2m, and the 19-year-old has already scored his first goal for the Red Devils, but has linked up with Rangers to help with his development.
Amad wasted no time in getting started as he scored just five minutes into his debut for Rangers, although it wasn't enough as they were held to a 3-3 draw away to Ross County.
Rangers are leading Celtic by two points in the race for the Scottish title, which will be valuable experience for Amad as he is part of United's long-term plans, and the club are desperate to compete for the Premier League title once again.
Another United star that has been starved of game time is Donny van de Beek, and the midfielder has finally been granted a loan move away from the club, to join Everton.
The Dutchman nearly joined the Toffees in the summer but a move fell through, and Everton have beaten Crystal Palace to the midfielder's signature.
Van de Beek was heavily linked with a move to Selhurst Park, but Everton's offer to pay his wages in full was enough for United to accept their approach, and he will remain at Goodison Park until the end of the season.
Everton do not have an option in the deal to buy the Dutchman at the end of the season, as United are still hoping that van de Beek will be a part of their future plans.
