Promotional photos of Manchester United's new kits appear to have been leaked online, with the club crest completely removed from the third kit.
In its place is an image of the devil from the crest, with Adidas opting for a minimalist design on the kit. In the leaked pictures, defensive midfielder Casemiro is shown wearing an off-white shirt with the devil, Adidas' logo and the logo of shirt sponsor TeamViewer along with matching off-white shorts.
The decision to remove the club crest comes after Adidas did something similar with their design for Arsenal's away kit this season, with their badge simply replaced by the cannon used in the club crest.
According to the Athletic, the decision to take United's crest off the third kit was 'purely a design choice' from Adidas following criticism of the use of ships in the badge which have been cited as references to slavery.
The move has split opinion among fans, with some loving the new kit and others suggesting it looks more like a Liverpool, Sevilla or Real Madrid strip. "that literally looks like a liverpool kit and that sponsor ad's size is atrocious," complained one.
Another added: "No one is buying these kits, absolutely awful". While a third wrote: "Nah Addidas needs to improve on Manchester United kits".
However, some were also fans of the kit with one writing: "how do people not like this it's soo clean". Another added: "This kit is fire." Leaked images also show full-back Tyrell Malacia wearing United's new away kit, which does have the full club crest on display.
The shirt is dark green with white and red stripes and will be matched with black shorts. The home kit, meanwhile, appeared to be leaked at the Adidas store in New York which reportedly displayed a picture of Luke Shaw wearing the new shirt.
In the picture, Shaw is seen wearing a red shirt with black stripes on the shoulders, similar to this season's home kit. However, the white collar has been replaced by a black v-neck collar and it features a geometric pattern.
