Nottingham Forest fans have reacted to Manchester United’s injury problems ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash between the two sides, with few having sympathy for their opponents.
Forest host Erik Ten Hag’s team on Sunday afternoon (4.30pm kick off) with the Reds looking to pick up points that would be crucial in the race for Premier League survival at the end of the season. A run of nine games without a win has seen Steve Cooper ’s men drop into the relegation zone.
With the bottom of the league so congested, a win could see Forest move up to as high as 15th in the table, depending on other results. The game comes three days after Man United were in European action.

The Red Devils conceded two late own goals in Thursday night’s 2-2 draw with Sevilla at Old Trafford. But the team also suffered a double injury blow with both Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez leaving the pitch.
It means that Ten Hag could be without up to eight players for the clash at the City Ground. It’s something that has not gone unnoticed by fans on social media, but some have pointed out that Forest themselves are also struggling with even more injuries.
Here’s what just some had to say.
Hannah Forest : If there's ever a right time to play Man United it might be now as they are stuttering a bit and they have a few injuries. #nffc
Carl Wilkinson : Can I just remind people we couldn't score against Man U when they had Shaw as CB
Can't see these injuries making much difference tbh #NFFC
NFFCBL : Actually feel like we might get something Sunday. United picking up all these injuries is giving me hope #NFFC
Jake : Varane, Martinez, Shaw, Rashford out, every injury is a bonus for Forest. #nffc
Jamie Martin : Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest:
- Boly
- Henderson
- Aurier
- Richards
- Biancone
- Yates
- Kouyate
- Niakhate
- Lodi
- Scarpa
- Wood
11 injuries.....#NFFC #MUFC
Trickytreechris : What a joke, Man Utd talking about an injury crisis.
Try having 10 players out injured!
Man Utd second string would beat most sides.
Reds have had to contend with a decimated squad for most of season. #nffc
