Manchester United have opened talks with two clubs as they attempt to sign Randal Kolo Muani and Rasmus Hojlund this summer.
The Red Devils are keen to add to their attacking options ahead of next season. A number of big-name strikers including Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen have been linked with making a move to Old Trafford.
Now, it appears that United are making their first attempts to sign a number of targets with talks having been opened with both Eintracht Frankfurt and Atalanta. The Red Devils are interested in French forward Kolo Muani, whilst Danish stalwart Hojlund is also on the club’s list of potential recruits.
According to The Athletic, United’s director of football John Murtough has opened talks with both clubs in an effort to seal a deal. Both clubs are thought to be open to selling at the right price.
The Red Devils’ attempts to sign Hojlund look more likely to end in success. It is reported that between him and Kolo Muani, the Atalanta star is the more likely to move to Old Trafford this summer.
Hojlund shares the same representatives as current United boss Erik ten Hag. The Dutchman is represented by the SEG Agency, with the striker joining in anticipation of a move in either short or long-term future.

Meanwhile, Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini has admitted that his side might find it difficult to reject a swoop for Hojlund’s services. Speaking last month, he said: “I haven’t seen so many strikers as good as Hojlund at 20. He can improve a lot, he’s great.
“Top European clubs are always attentive to this kind of top talents. There could be some huge bid for him that would be impossible to reject for us."
Hojlund has enjoyed a brilliant season with Atalanta. He has nine goals and four assists for the club in all competitions having only arrived at Sturm Graz last summer.
The four-time Danish international has four years left to run on his current contract. Elsewhere, French striker Kolo Muani has enjoyed an eye-catching campaign.
The 24-year-old has scored 23 goals and notched 17 assists in all competitions this term. United might also face competition as they try to sign him. German giants Bayern Munich have also been linked with a move for him.
He has not totally ruled out staying with his current employers with four years remaining on his contract. Speaking to TuttoMercatoWeb, he said: “I could stay. I have a long contract and as a result there is, of course, the possibility that I could still be the striker for Eintracht.
“The millions can be a pressure, but there will be another time to say goodbye. Now is not the right time.”
