A Manchester United fan was spotted appearing to have a haircut in the stands during the club's FA Cup semi-final win.
The Red Devils are into the final of another domestic cup after a dramatic penalty shootout success over Brighton at Wembley. United's clash against the Seagulls was on edge for much of the 120 minutes, eventually ending goalless with both sides lacking a cutting edge.
For one fan, though, more important matters were at hand. An image on social media has shown an individual with a gown over him, sat in his seat while a 'barber' gives his hair a trim. Some supporters nearby appear to be taking photos while others focus on the game.
Several fans joked about the possibility of a late winner, which would've seen the United end go mental, potentially ruining his look. One said: "Peak if we score, his hairline is finished." Another added: "Last minute winner when getting the hairline sorted gonna be mental."
Fortunately for the individual no goals were scored, but his team did have the last laugh with Victor Lindelof scoring the decisive penalty. Solly March had ballooned his effort over the bar, allowing the Swede to take advantage in sudden death.
The camera continued to pan to the United end after their players were successful from 12 yards, with the celebrations certainly animated, but the individuals haircut may well have finished, freeing him of any danger.
United will now take on local rivals Manchester City in the final. Those from the red half are eyeing a second piece of silverware this term whilst those at the Etihad still harbour hopes of emulating United by winning the treble, which would make them just the second English team to do so.
David De Gea is confident the Red Devils, who've already beaten City this year, can do so again. He told the BBC : "It was a very tight game we played a very good team. Brighton play really good football. We are now in the final but we have another big game on Thursday so we need to go home and recover. They were great penalties. I was prepared as always. I tried to put pressure on the takers.
"There's still a long way to the final but it will be a big game against one of the best teams in Europe and the world. We showed at home we can beat them [Man City] so let's hope. We are on the right track. One trophy, another final and fighting for the top four. It's not enough but it's a big step from last season."
Erik ten Hag said on his penalty hero, Lindelof: "He is quite cool when it comes to penalties and he's quite cool in general. I thought Victor and Luke Shaw played brilliantly. They had great co-operation with Casemiro."
