Erik ten Hag has punished Cristiano Ronaldo by dropping him from Manchester United's squad to face Chelsea on Saturday.
An official statement read: "Cristiano will not be part of the Manchester United squad for this Saturday's game against Chelsea. The rest of the squad is fully focused on preparing for that fixture."
The decision comes after the 37-year-old striker stormed down the tunnel before full-time during the Red Devils' excellent 2-0 win at home to Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday. Ronaldo had been an unused substitute and watched the game up until the 89th minute from the sidelines.
