Manchester United could recall both Harry Maguire and Casemiro to the starting XI for Wednesday evening's Carabao Cup semi-final at Nottingham Forest.
Maguire has found himself out of the side recently due to the partnership of Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez but given the former's history of injury problems and United's hectic schedule in the coming weeks, the England defender could be handed a start. Casemiro was suspended for the Red Devils' 3-2 defeat at Arsenal on Sunday but is available for selection again and is expected to come straight back in.
United could have as many as 10 matches between now and the end of February and so Erik ten Hag could use tonight as a chance to rotate his side. Tom Heaton was handed his full debut for the club in the last round win over Charlton Athletic and could replace David de Gea between the sticks.

Another change that could arrive in midfield is a recall for Fred in place of Christian Eriksen. Eriksen has been an impressive free transfer for United but his form has dipped as of late and so a rest could be what he needs, with Fred the most likely option to take his place.
Ten Hag is set to be without Anthony Martial again meaning Wout Weghorst continues in attack, but Alejandro Garnacho is certainly pushing for a start. He could come in on the right hand-side in place of Antony, who is yet to really justify his hefty summer price tag.
Predicted XI: Heaton; Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Martinez, Shaw; Casemiro, Fred; Garnacho, Fernandes, Rashford; Weghorst.
