Manchester United supporters will know the road back to being atop English and European football is a long one.
But the club has to get on the right path this summer.
The Red Devils have made sweeping changes in an attempt to reset the culture at Old Trafford. New manager Erik ten Hag will obviously be crucial to the process, although the Dutchman will need to be backed up by smart decisions off the field too - most notably in terms of recruitment.
With that in mind, getting the right kind of players through the door this summer - both in terms of quality and character - feels like Ten Hag's biggest challenge in the coming weeks.

Nunez plan hatched
United are one of a number of clubs to be linked with Benfica forward Darwin Nunez.
The Uruguayan enjoyed an excellent season with the Lisbon giants and they reportedly now value him in the region of £100 million, such is the list of high-calibre clubs looking to secure his signature.
That amount is said to be out of United's price range this summer, especially with other areas of the squad to strengthen.
However, reports have suggested that the Red Devils will be ready to include Andreas Pereira as part of a possible package for Nunez. The 26-year-old has been loaned out for the previous two seasons, most recently to Flamengo.

De Ligt focused on Juventus
Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt has said he is concentrating on helping his team rescaling the summit of Italian football, potentially ending any hopes the Red Devils have of signing him.
The Dutch international was excellent under Ten Hag during their time together at Ajax, as De Ligt developed into one of the best young defenders in world football.
At Juventus, De Ligt has had a mixed time, with both the team and himself inconsistent in form. After winning the Serie A title in his first season, the Turin giants have been well short of a title push in both of the last two campaigns.
"Ending 4th in a row for two years in a row is not good enough - Juventus knows this too," said De Ligt when reflecting on his time at the club. "So being Juventus, we have to make steps. I’m a Juventus player so I’m focused on that.
"There are talks ongoing between Juventus and me. Once the right moment arrives, I will decide to extend or look further."

Enrique delivers De Gea verdict
After leaving United goalkeeper David De Gea out of his squad for the UEFA Nations League matches, Spain manager Luis Enrique has said he wants his stoppers to be strong in possession too.
Although the Red Devils endured a torrid season, De Gea was a solid performer throughout the campaign, helping the team avoid further embarrassing days.
For Spain, De Gea has been dislodged lately by Unai Simon and he was left out of the squad for the ongoing international break - the second time he's been snubbed in succession. Enrique has spoken of why he wants Simon in the team and hinted at why De Gea has been left at home.
"Unai has accumulated some interesting experience," said Enrique. "A goalkeeper should start the play and generate the first superiority, they must dominate the aerial play.
"I need a goalkeeper that transmits peace and calmness to me - and that doesn’t mean they won’t make mistakes, errors are part of football. But what they generate I like a lot."
