Man United have been forced to look at other forward options as Chelsea stand firm on Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech with Todd Boehly and Thomas Tuchel only willing to sanction respective loan moves on one condition.
The Blues are set to be one of the busiest sides in Europe for the remainder of this summer's transfer window on the incoming and outgoing side of things. Amid strong rumours that Boehly is willing to sanction a £150million 'gold rush' that could involve Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Wesley Fofana, Frenkie de Jong and Anthony Gordon, significant moves need to happen on the outgoings to balance the books.
Timo Werner, Romelu Lukaku, Malang Sarr and a few others have departed but more is expected through the Stamford Bridge exit doors. football.london understands that talks are ongoing despite an initial breakdown in negotiations for Emerson Palmieri's move to West Ham. Further up the pitch, Ziyech and Pulisic are wanting more regular game time, especially for the latter who has been encouraged to move on loan to gain more regular first-team minutes with Qatar 2022 in mind.

Both have been eyed by Man United manager Erik ten Hag with a deal for the USMNT international seemingly more advanced. However, with Ajax continuing to stand firm on Antony, the Red Devils could turn to Ziyech who flourished in Amsterdam under ten Hag's management.
Despite increased speculation of the pair's exits amid crunch talk rumours planned with Boehly and the Chelsea board, the Blues need to decide what is best for the aforementioned attackers in this situation.
It is understood that Boehly is reluctant to sell to a direct Premier League rival in the top four race and therefore would be unwilling to let both move to Old Trafford before the September 1 deadline.
Ziyech has been linked to AC Milan but talks have stalled for a while due to disagreements on the structure of the deal between the two clubs. AC Milan wanted a loan but the Blues would prefer a sale of the Moroccan.
Pulisic to United still may happen but more attackers may join in ten Hag's rebuild, especially after how the current attack performed in the first two Premier League outings. Atlético Madrid veteran Yannick Carrasco is another reported target should the west Londoners stand firm on the attacking pair to an extent where both are not attainable.
