Manchester United legend Gary Neville has been proven wrong following Antonio Conte's exit from Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs announced that Conte had left the club by mutual consent on Sunday evening following a rollercoaster 16 months with the Italian as head coach. The former Chelsea boss had secured a top-four finish in last year's Premier League, pipping local rivals Arsenal to a place in this season's UEFA Champions League.
However, things were far from rosy in recent times as the veteran coach delivered a controversial press conference nine days ago when he lamented his squad for being selfish after they drew 3-3 with Southampton. Ultimately, that was the final straw and the two sides parted ways over the weekend, meaning Sky Sports pundit Neville's prediction on Conte winning a trophy in north London was proven wrong.
