Eagle-eyed Manchester United fans have spotted a potential clue over Rasmus Hojland’s future.
The 20-year-old joined Atalanta from Austrian side Sturm Graz last summer and has been a regular feature of Gian Piero Gasperini’s side in their hunt for European football. The Denmark international has clocked up nine goals and four assists in 33 games for the Italian club, making 19 starts overall.
A striker is known to be firmly on United’s wishlist this summer, with Anthony Martial having struggled for consistent minutes and fitness, while Wout Weghorst’s loan has failed to result in goals for the Dutchman. Harry Kane is the club’s main target but Hojlund has also appeared on United’s transfer radar.

As reported by the Manchester Evening News, manager Erik ten Hag has held multiple video calls with the young striker, who has scored five goals in his most recent two games at international level. When asked about future transfer business, Ten Hag admitted he had already spoken with potential targets and noted that players are 'keen' to join the club this summer.
Hojland has fuelled speculation that he may be one of the players heading to Old Trafford after supporters checked the Dane’s activity on social media. United fans noticed the teenager follows the official United account on Instagram, as well as several players within the squad.
While that is not necessarily an indication the Atalanta forward is on his way to Old Trafford, the striker has previously admitted he is a United fan. "Now that you ask, I will not hide the fact that I am a huge Manchester United fan," he said earlier this year.
"So personally, it would be one of the biggest things for me, but of course that doesn’t mean that I would turn down other big clubs if the offers come at some point."
