Adidas sponsor Arsenal and Manchester United is reportedly set to produce sponsorless shirts for next season.
This decision comes after Nottingham Forest decided to go without a shirt sponsor since returning to the Premier League this season, after apparently turning down a "multi-million pound offer" from last season's sponsors BOXT. The boiler company, who were Forest's main sponsors last year, claimed the club wanted to go "in a different direction" following their return to the top-flight.
However, both Arsenal and United's manufacturer Adidas will only make the sponsorless version available for fans to buy. Players will still be wearing the shirts with sponsors on while on the pitch, according to the website Footy Headlines, and it is likely the brand has heeded calls from those who have suggested the sponsorless shirt on show by Forest this season looks better than having one with a sponsor on.

It also claims that the sponsorless version won't be available for all of the new kits. Adidas are reportedly set to produce an alternative version for only their third kits for the 2023/24 season.
The third kits will reportedly include oversized fits, different fabrics and additional visual design elements as clubs look to try and sell shirts as fashion items rather than replicas, aiming to expand their customer base.
Adidas are said to be drawing up plans to manufacture 'Lifestyle' shirts for each of their elite clubs, those being Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Arsenal and United, similar to Nike's effort with their Air Max strips a couple of seasons ago.
