Man turns childhood 'obsession' into lucrative new career

A man who transformed his niche hobby into a thriving business now sells his products to people all over the world.

Stuart Meadows, from Dovecot, now owns his own business called SM Guitars. The 30-year-old builds handmade guitars from scratch and has his own four shapes and styles. He also has his own "signature touch" to the original classic designs and also creates bespoke guitars people have designed themselves.

Stuart began making guitars when he was in teens after learning to play the instrument when he was 16-years-old. He became "obsessed with finding the right tones" as he wasn't happy when playing guitars he already had.
