Man tries to hire killer to murder wife - unknowingly asks undercover FBI agent

Murder

A man who tried to hire a killer to murder his wife unknowingly asked an undercover federal agent to do it.

Massimo Marenghi pleaded guilty on Thursday to murder for hire, the US Attorneys Office for the District of Massachusetts said in a press release.

The 56-year-old now faces up to a decade behind bars and a fine of up to $250,000.
