A man was treated by paramedics after a huge blaze ripped through a house in Perthshire.
Five fire engines rushed to the scene of the fire on Smith Street in Kinross at around 12:34pm. It took the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service three hours to extinguish the blaze and they left after ensuring the area was safe.
One male casualty was handed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service but his condition remains unknown at this stage. Footage from the scene shows smoke billowing from the property, with flames licking the top of the building.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 12.34pm on Saturday, 28 January to reports of a fire at a property on Smith Street, Kinross.
"Operations Control mobilised five appliances to the scene where firefighters extinguished a fire affecting the first floor of the property. One male casualty was handed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
“Crews left the scene at 3.34pm after ensuring the area was made safe.”
