Man to face ACT court over alleged choking, assault of wife and bystander

ACT ACT Policing Queensland

A 40-year-old man has been extradited from Queensland after he allegedly assaulted his wife on several occasions in the ACT between 2024 and 2026.

ACT Policing alleged the man choked his wife to the point of unconsciousness, punched her and a bystander who attempted to intervene in the assault, and broke the windscreen of a vehicle she was driving.
