A man was arrested after a chase with police during which he threw a high powered bike at them.
Merseyside Police confirmed a man has been detained after officers saw him carry out a drug transaction at an address in Waterloo. The 34-year-old is also suspected of drug supply offences, disqualified driving, and money laundering.
He was found in possession of numerous snap bags of cannabis and approximately £6,000 in cash which is believed to be from the proceeds of crime. Merseyside Police announced the arrest on the Sefton Police Facebook page last night.

The post said: "The male has then stopped at an address and been involved in a drug transaction in the doorway. Whilst stopped, officers attempted to detain the male however he has thrown the bike towards officers and made off on foot over numerous garden walls.
"Officers remained in hot pursuit of the male and detained him a short distance away. The male was found in possession of numerous snap bags of cannabis and a quantity of cash. The male was also found to be disqualified from driving until 2023.
"The high powered bike has been recovered by police and found to be capable of reaching speeds of over 48mph."
The seizures are the work of a special police team which was launched in 2017 to combat the drug trade and gang violence in Bootle, Netherton, Litherland and the surrounding areas.
