A victim was threatened with a Stanley knife in their own home by a man on a burglary spree.
Between 4.50pm and 6pm on Monday, July 4, Cheshire Police received multiple 999 calls reporting burglaries in the Stanney area of Ellesmere Port. At 4.55pm it was reported a man entered an address on Thornton Road and threatened somebody inside with a Stanley knife.
He left the scene empty handed and made his way to Cambridge Road, where it was reported the same man went into a garden shed and stole a petrol can at around 5.30pm. The man then made his way to a house on Girton Road, where he fled the scene empty handed after being confronted by the homeowners.
