A man has been taken to hospital following reports of a collision at the Seaburn seafront. Emergency services received reports of a collision in the area at around 7.30pm on Wednesday evening.
The North East Ambulance Service sent one emergency ambulance crew after receiving multiple calls about the same incident. An off duty police officer was also at the scene.
The ambulance service confirmed that a man was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital for further treatment for his injuries.

A North East Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "We received a call to 999 at 19:31 this evening to reports of a road traffic collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian on Queens Parade Sunderland.
"We received multiple calls to the same incident. An off duty police officer was on the scene. We sent one emergency ambulance crew and took one male patient to Sunderland Royal for further treatment for his injuries."
