A man has been taken to hospital after an incident at a steel firm, police have confirmed.
Officers were called to an "accident" at Dyfed Steels in Dafen, Llanelli, shortly after 2.30pm on Tuesday, February 1, and have now confirmed a man suffered "serious injuries" and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
It comes after people living locally reported a high police and ambulance presence in the area.

A statement from Dyfed-Powys Police said: "We were called to an accident at Dyfed Steels at shortly after 2.30pm on Tuesday, February 1. A man suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance. The incident is now being investigated by the Health and Safety Executive."
While the exact nature of the incident has not yet been confirmed operations director at Dyfed Steels Daniel Thomas has confirmed the incident involved an external contractor and added: "We will be conducting a full investigation into what has happened. We have no further comment at this time."
A spokesman for the Health and Safety Executive confirmed to WalesOnline that it was made aware of the incident by police.
The spokesperson added: "We will make a decision on investigation when the dutyholder reports formally under RIDDOR (reporting of injuries, diseases and dangerous occurrences regulations)."
WalesOnline understands the individual injured in the incident has been taken to Morriston Hospital in Swansea for medical care.
