A man was taken to hospital with "major-trauma related injuries" following a crash.
Cheshire Police, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service and North West Ambulance Service were called to Welsh Road, near the junction of Heath Lane, in Ellesmere Port, following reports of an incident at around 7.55pm on Wednesday, May 17. Once emergency services arrived at the scene they found four cars had crashed.
Police closed the road in both directions and passing cars were turned away from the scene by police officers. One fire engine from Powey Lane and the Major Rescue Unit from Winsford were called to the scene as a casualty was medically trapped in one of the cars.
