Police were alerted to a concern for welfare after members of the public reported seeing an injured man on a Bristol street. The first call came in at around 2.50pm today (15 March).
The man was initially seen on Greenway Bush Lane and walked to North Street, where he was detained by officers at around 3pm so that he could be treated by ambulance crews.
He has now gone to hospital with injuries not currently believed to be life-threatening. Police have confirmed that there is "nothing to suggest that anyone else was involved in the incident".
