Man taken to hospital after emergency services called to crash

A man was taken to hospital after a crash in Oldham.

The incident happened on Sheepfoot Lane at around 8am this morning (Monday). Police officers and paramedics were called to the scene.

Eyewitnesses said a stretch of the road was closed off both ways as emergency services responded. A man - aged in his 60s - was taken to hospital.

He suffered a hip injury, a spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service said. In a statement, the ambulance service said: "We were called to an incident at 8.07am on Sheepfoot Lane.

"We attended the scene and took a man in his early 60s to hospital with a hip injury." A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson confirmed officers responded to a crash.
