Man suffers significant injuries and pet killed in dog attack on beach walk

A man has been left injured and his dog killed after a mauling by a dog on a beach walk in Pembrokeshire, Wales.

Officers at Dyfed-Powys Police said the man was walking in the beach area of Lower Pennar at 2pm on April 5 when his two dogs were attacked by another dog, one of whom died as result.

The man suffered “significant” injuries to his hand, said police.

Officers have appealed for information regarding a woman who was walking two dogs, described as bulldogs, in the area at the time of the attack.

The woman is described as being in her mid-30s, and was wearing a bobble hat.

She had two dogs which are described as bulldogs. One was off its lead and was grey with white around its nose. The other dog, which was on a lead, was darker in colour.
