A man suffered a broken jaw after being attacked outside a Newcastle city centre takeaway.
The incident happened at around 9.15pm on Saturday, April 15, when the man had entered City Takeaway, on Pilgrim Street, and had a verbal disagreement with three men, say Northumbria Police.
It was reported that the victim then left the takeaway but as he was walking out, he was punched twice to the back of his head, causing him to fall to the ground. He was knocked unconscious and also sustained a broken jaw.

The three men, described as white and in their mid 30s, then fled the scene following the assault.
Emergency services attended Pilgrim Street and the victim was taken to hospital. He was later discharged.
Officers are now appealing to anyone who witnessed the assault to contact them.
