Man stopped by police filming roadside TikTok

A window cleaner said he "didn't expect" the hugely positive response he got from a roadside cleaning job.

Josh Hewitt, 22, who lives in Wirral, started cleaning some of the borough's less well-kept street signs after he was inspired by his brother in law who did the same thing back in Wales, where he is originally from. Josh has only cleaned "eight or nine" signs so far, which he does with the equipment from the window cleaning business he runs, though has been met with a hugely positive response.

Josh posted one of his cleans to his TikTok account (@jh_cleaning), with only the intention of using the app's video editing software to add music, and shorten the video, so he could use it elsewhere. Yet, in about an hour the video had almost 20,000 views and thousands of likes. The second video he shared, this time on purpose, now has 4.3m views with over 150,000 comments, most of which applaud his good deed for the wider community.
