A man is still fighting for his life after being thrown from his bike in Hoylake.
The cyclist, in his 50s, was involved in a crash with a Renault Cleo, on Meols Drive, at around 3.45pm on Sunday, August 14. Today, 10 days later, police have confirmed he remains in a critical condition in hospital.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, close to Royal Liverpool Golf Club, after reports of the crash. The man riding a bike was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the car remained at the scene to help with enquiries. The road was closed for a number of hours while investigations were carried out.
Speaking after the incident, roads policing sergeant Amy Murray said: "We’re continuing to investigate the circumstances behind this collision, which has left a man in a critical condition. His family are being supported by specialist officers and our thoughts go out to them at such a difficult time.
"As a matter of priority, we’d like to speak to anyone who was passing the golf club at around 3.45pm on Sunday afternoon, and has any images or footage from dashcam or other devices which may assist.
