Cops have launched a probe after a man was stabbed in a vicious daylight assault. Officers raced to the scene at Grieve Road in Greenock yesterday afternoon after reports of a disturbance in the area.
Cops found a 43-year-old man who had been stabbed at the scene and he was rushed to hospital in an ambulance. His injuries are described as serious but not life threatening.
Police Scotland have launhed a probe into the broad daylight blade attack.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We were called around 4pm on Monday, October 31, to a report of an assault in the Grieve Road area of Greenock.
“A 43-year-old man sustained serious, but not life threatening injuries, and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow by ambulance.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
