A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being stabbed in the head at a lap dancing club. The 22-year-old was attacked at Cleopatra's Lounge in Huddersfield town centre in the early hours of Sunday, YorkshireLive reports.
A cleaver or machete was reportedly used in the attack. A police cordon was in place outside of the club for much of Sunday.
The victim was reportedly stood outside Cleopatra's Lounge, which describes itself as 'the home of lap dancing in Huddersfield' on its Facebook page, when he was approached by a male who produced a knife between 5.40 and 5.45am. He fled inside the club but was pursued by the knifeman, who attacked him before fleeing in a car. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to serious but non-life threatening injuries.

DI Simon Reddington of Kirklees CID, said: "This has clearly been a serious offence and officers are pursuing a number of active lines of enquiry across Huddersfield today. I can promise residents that no stone is being left unturned to catch the persons responsible for this incident, and we are appealing for witnesses to what occurred.
"We would like to speak to anyone who saw the attack and has not yet come forward or anyone who saw the suspect flee the premises.
