Armed police officers sought help from members of the public as they chased after a man in Leeds this morning.
Officers were seen in the Burley and Hyde Park areas as a helicopter hovered overheard, according to one witness. One witness snatched a photo of a bald man in a green jacket who appeared to be trying to find a location to hide.
Local resident James Hutchinson, 22, saw a man running and apparently trying to find a hiding place just as armed police officers came into view.

James was in Hartwell Road when he heard a helicopter and then saw a bald white man running by.
"He went into a garden and ran across the road. We saw five or six armed police come around the corner asking where he went.
"Ten minutes later on Hyde Park Road, it looked like police were surrounding someone by the medical centre."
James said the man looked like he was trying to find a hiding place.
"He was kind of looking for somewhere to hide. He saw a passage and just ran."
James added: "It's not the nicest of areas. It's rough at times."
The nature of the incident is not yet known and LeedsLive has contacted West Yorkshire Police for a statement.
